Last year, I co-produced a documentary for MSNBC that was subsequently submitted for the Webby Awards, which for the last 19 years, has been the “leading international award honoring excellence on the internet“.

Me and a crack team of video makers created a film documenting Hong Kong’s recent fight for universal suffrage. Our perspective came from the people on the ground, as well as leaders of the movement and Jasper Tsang, the president of Hong Kong basically.

The end product was something all of us are deeply proud of, and this week we were vindicated with an honorable recognition by the Webby Awards!

It’s a pretty big deal.
